We always close the bathroom door to avoid this sort of situation. I can just imagine my cat wrecking havok with a toilet roll being unrolled won the hallway.:D Everyone knows that they have to close the door, if they forget then they are responsible for cleaning up any mess the cat makes.

Well, in my case, I don't close the bathroom door because I have taught my cats to use the bathroom as their toilet, too. Anyway I don't have any problems with my cats playing with toilet paper because I don't use toilet paper.

My cat's litter box is in the half bath AKA guest bathroom, so she has her own bathroom and I have mine. When guests come over, they just use my bathroom so the toilet paper thing isn't an issue for us. My cat's bathroom doesn't have toilet paper in it.

Can I just say that I'm a little jealous of your cat for having its own bathroom? I'm a human and don't even get my own! It must be nice for your sake to be able to separate it like that, though.

I wonder if you could get some kind of vertical toilet paper holder instead, so it won't spin so much. Perhaps that will dissuade the cat from doing that any more. Ironically I had a dog that would do this all the time, and now that we have two cats neither of them do it.

Oh that's a good idea! It might take some time to get used to a vertical one, but they certainly don't spin as easily and freely, so even if they get a hold of it, it's probably not going to last for long.

Yes, that cat really had it good. Myself, I used to share a bathroom, too. With my cats. So the first thing in the morning which I had to do was to clean up the bathroom. Still it's better than having to clean up odd places all over the house.

The first time our cats saw it they played with it. Now, they just don't care. They get bored really quickly with many, many things. For example, both guys loved with playing bottle caps, but since we kept it around for them, they gave up on it. Or, they loved playing with the toy fish we got them, but again, they just gave up on them. I wonder if they'll like the cat laser I'm getting one of them for their birthday in two weeks.

We just simply keep our toilet paper roll on the side of the sink. The Bengal does not bother it there. But when my wife puts it on the side of the bathtub and forgets to return it to the sink, it usually ends up in the tub.
