Cats fights snakes

    Do you know that the snake is afraid or the cat. When we were growing up, we had many cats in our country home. When I asked my grandfather why we always had cats in the house, he asked me if I had ever seen a snake in the compound and true enough, I had never seen any snake around. He said that snakes are afraid of the cat and I was just wondering if that theory is true of just a myth,
