I am guilty of bribing my cat with cat treats. If I want her to come out from hiding all I have to do is shake the cat treat bag and she will come running and meowing to me! There are a few places that she will hide and pick as her favorite places, but there are times where I just cannot find her. This trick works great when we are preparing to go the vet! :)

Yes, absolutely, hehe. I don't normally have to do it, but sometimes I'll do it when they're simply laying on something I don't want them to. The older is rather grouchy, so instead of upsetting her by physically moving her, I bribe her away from the area.

I don't always have to do this but I definitely have before. Occasionally the youngest will fall asleep in places you can't see or she's not allowed.
Getting out the treat bag or pouring food into the bowl generally wakes her up and gets her attention.

As Jessi said, the older cat doesn't like to be physically moved. It's much easier to bribe.

Bribe? Hmmm, maybe I do that. Like give them a choice. Either move away or get smacked. No? That's not a bribe? How about this then? Either get smacked or move away.

Actually I just move reluctant cats by picking them up. Doesn't take much persuasion to do that.

My cat Dolores is pretty grouchy and not very touchy-feely, so if I want to move her without her sinking her claws into my arm, I usually offer her a cat treat or a small piece of chicken to get her to move along.

That's a pretty grouchy cat alright. Has she always been like this or is this something that becomes more pronounced as she grows older?

Dolores has been a condescending jerk that sees me as her litter box janitor ever since I took her in off the street when she was a half-grown adolescent kitten. I have had many cats with sweet personalities. Dolores is not one of the sweet ones, never has been.

But I'll take care of her and love her until she passes away of old age because you can't just throw someone away because they have a bad personality. The veterinarian can't find anything wrong with her, she's just obnoxious.
She occasionally does something cute, so I have hope that she'll calm down in her old age.

I saw this picture on Hubpages and it reminded me of Dolores.

I always have to bribe my cats. Tabitha has hyperthyroid disease. She always knows that she will get a treat if she does not run away from us when we have to give her medicine.
