Do you trim you cats nails yourself or do you take them to a groomer?
Both of my cats are very good when it comes to clipping their nails.
They always sit there nicely under they are done. I have had cats in the
past who would never let me touch their nails.

No, I thin k it's kinda late for me to start doing that to Bob, maybe if we had started doing that when he was a little kitten. But now? No, he doesn't like anyone get close to his paws with a nail clipper. Not even me and he trusts me a lot. Plus even if he did let me clip his nails, I'd be worried to cut too much and then get a really bad scratch or scratches.

Lord knows how I wanted to do that. The few times my son and I tried, it was a major fail. He would not have it and you know how cats are. It's there way or the highway and it was just so with Twinkle. Susan Brown you have some gems there. Are they all cat?

I would try it if he were tranquilized, under different circumstances. But he is indoor/outdoor and I would worry I was putting him at risk of not being able to defend himself.

My cat is fine with getting a nail cut. I often do it myself anyway. Only thing she won't let me play with often enough are her paws. Perhaps that tickles?

How did you convince your cat to let you do it? If he'll let you trim his claws, does he cooperate for a bath?

She fusses about taking a bath too. I think most cats do that. I would think she would have a bigger problem getting her nails clipped but naah! That's easy for me to do after rubbing her tummy for a while. :)

the only time I have ever been able to give a cat a bath without having to tend to my own wounds, afterwards, was a stray kitten that came around. She had stomach issues I think because her back half was covered in poop. I wanted to clean her up so she didn't get some sort of infection from the poop being on her skin. She didn't give me any kind of fight. Luckily, I got her to the vet before it got to that point. Her name was Boo. I miss that kitty.

I have had many cats over the years and there was only one cat that use to let me bath him.
I got him when he was like 4 years old. He was a wet cat who went outdoors when his previous
owner had him so I assume he had a lot of baths in his time. He would just stand in the tub
and let me bath him and never say a word. It was awesome!

I'd be too scared of hurting my cat, so my vet clips her nails when we visit. I must say though my cat will sit really calmly and let our vet cut her nails. :)
