Both of my cats have been seen watching TV at one time or another. It does not matter what they see or hear on TV, in other words, nothing in particular draws them into watching TV. I guess they just do it out of the blue for no reason.

Yes! Haha! My cats LOVE the noise the nintendo wii home screen makes, they will be all over the TV for that one, and my boy also loves Futurama..

Mine get more excited by the sounds, and if it is a cartoon. Bandit sat and watched the full muppets movie.

My kitten watches TV with me. It's so cute she'll just sit on our lap and watch tv with my boyfriend and I. I think she might watch tv because she wants to be close to us and because she's bored.

Nope! I don't think my cat has ever really noticed the TV to be honest. I used to try to get her to look at fish or other cats on the screen and she just turns her nose up at me. She couldn't care less what's going on on there.

Only two of my cats have ever had an interest in screens. My first cat, Rank, would love to watch the Discovery Channel. She LOVED watching lions. There was this one part where the lions were attacking a zebra and then she watched and started to attack my Barbie. It was so funny. Now that I think about it, I don't know why my mother allowed me to watch lions maul a zebra. Hmm o_O

The windowsill is our cats "television". They don't watch real TV. Our dogs would from time to time though. I've seen youtube videos where some cats do it, they chase something around on the screen.

My cat only notices the TV if she hears familiar cat or dog noises coming from the TV. So I sometimes leave Animal Planet on for her when I run errands.

Wii menu is the best thing to subdue my cats, the weird noise it makes is like a hymn to my cat, it calms them so much, its so funny!

No, he doesn't. Instead, he just sits on top of it, flicking his tail about and creating static, and obscuring our view of the screen. He likes to use it as a launchpad for unsuspecting moths and other flitty things, that drift in through our windows. He also likes to drape himself on top of it, because it's warm. So whilst we're trying to watch something ON it, he's busily trying to use it as his own personal adventure playground.

When my fiancee lived on her own, one of her boys would watch television. Since we moved in together, we do not own a television, but we watch our motion pictures on the laptop. Sometimes both guys would sit on our laps and watch movies together. Most of the time, though, when we're watching a picture they would sit near us (I.E. hallway rug, futon, table, etc.).
