My cat is seriously a really really fussy eater. He has only ever eaten certain pouches his whole life since we first let him try them. We occasionally try something new, but he completely turns his nose up at it in disgust. Do your cats only eat one type of food?

My cats hate cheap food, but that's about it. It probably tastes bad because it's so cheaply made! Lately I've tried a few different natural brands and they seem to love it, so that's all I'm going to give them from now on. I haven't completely decided which brand to buy every time, they seem to love all of the natural stuff the same! I'm probably going to have to base it on price, hah.

My cats hate new things too, but if we mix them in with their old food then they are more willing to try them. The one thing they are not picky about is wet food and treats. They are just super picky with dry food.

Mine isnt so much fussy as in his stomach is fussy! If he eats certain foods he gets crystals or he throws up, or even poops blood! Oh my goodness, it is quite a chore! I am very glad he is not overly fussy on taste, so it does make it easier for me to find a food which is not toxic to him.

My cat won't eat the cheapest cat food that comes in big cans and I would never buy it for her again because it smells evil.
Apart from that, she's not really that picky.

Pepsi, our oldest, is really picky. It can't be cheap. There can't be a "hole" in her food dish. And it has to be the absolute freshest. Not to mention, you much shake the dish too.

I've read that cats learn to be finicky while they are kittens. They have a small window where if you expose them to a variety of foods, they will not be as finicky. Then again, maybe each one is just naturally finicky :) My previous cat who passed away only really ate one brand. I never tried to switch it up, so I don't know if he was finicky or not.

I hope the kittens I am raising now aren't so finicky. I'm going with an all wet diet (based on information I've read, including this awesome site that I found -- http://www.catinfo.org/ ). I might even try my hand at a raw diet for them. If done correctly, it seems easy. But for me to do this, I just hope the kittens aren't going to be picky :)

LOL, I think the vast majority of cats are like this! My bob only likes the good stuff, that includes human food! He loves to eat eggs and things like that. But we rarely feed him those things anymore. Since we know there are many things cats aren't supposed to eat.
