I don't think there's a crazy cat person out there, who hasn't seen the videos on YouTube, of various cats making the weirdest and most bizarre noises. Some of them never seem to know how to be quiet. It's actually like they're trying to form words. Zod will yowl if he sees a moth or fly (we dubbed him the MOTHSLAYER last summer, for greatest number of moths slain in one evening), and he will make chirpy-trill noises if he's trying to get my attention for some fuss and snuggles. Other than that, he's not really very noisy, and prefers to communicate by grabbing my ankles, or shoving his bum in my face. o_O

Does anyone have a cat that really sounds like it's talking, or just yowls constantly like he/she is the most unloved creature in the world?

I have a bengal cat. Her name is Phoebe. When I am about to put food down for her, she makes a high pitched meow. Almost like she is singing. If I have failed to give her enough attention, she goes in a corner to pout. She may make a crying noise. When she does either one of these things, I am right on top of the situation, picking her up and kissing her. Then when I put her down, she bounces around as if she is happy to be reminded that she is loved.

My cat is very vocal. She'll sit around and cry if she wants something. Sometimes when she gets to going, it'll sound like words. It's especially true if she's going to cough up a hairball or get sick.....the yowling is ridiculous and comes out like words.

Before she was fixed, she'd go around the house crying "I looovvveeee you" too, lol.

I think mine are toddles that throw temper tantrums in the middle of the night if they dont get what they want. They also make noises at each other and one snores. I dont consider snoring being vocal but Im surprised the one doesnt talk in her sleep.

Hahahaha thank you everyone for you replies :D

I have noticed recently, that Zod has taken to mewling when he's yawning, because it makes the most bizarre noise. It seems to make it very high pitched, and the first time he actually did it, he looked as surprised and baffled as I was.
