Does your cat lay on the couch?

My little one Mouth won't lay on the couch or chairs. He prefers to lie either on my bed or on a blanket on the floor. Sometimes he will sleep all curled up in a basket I made for him with a fleece blanket. Not sure what it is about not wanting to be on the couch.

Ninja, my other baby, will lie anywhere. He likes to sleep like a baby in my husband’s arms. He will also sleep on the couch or on top of the refrigerator.

Not really. My cats like sleeping on my bed. Tabu sometimes sleeps on a couch, but not very often and not for long. Mitra sleeps sometimes in an armchair. But most of the time is my own bed. It's pretty hard to go to sleep and find enough space for myself :p

All of my cats like to lay on just about any type of furniture. They all like the couches the best, but still have there favorite blanket lol. Cats are like us humans. They are spoiled about using those special soft items.

My cat always lay on my furniture throughout the day. But its only when I'm home because I don't let it outside my bedroom if I'm not home because I live on a college campus.

When she's in, my cat will sometimes lay on the couch. But the that often turns into her sharpening her claws on it, which is also a big nono here. Most of the time she does just lay in the floor.

Yep, they'll lay anywhere. Mine is currently going through a phase where she sleeps on the back of the couch at night, while someone sleeps on the couch itself below her. She doesn't seem to have any interest in the couch itself, though.

Yes, my cats love lying on our couches as well as our beds, basically anywhere I find comfortable I'll find my cat sitting later.:) She has her own comfy cat bed though ha ha. ;) As a result we brush our cat and vacuum our couch daily.

Generally speaking, my younger cats will want to sleep as near to me as possible while the older ones will sleep somewhere high up. Like at the top of the cupboard. Or even the rafters.

If I had a kitten I would let it lay down on the couch or on the bed. I think that kittens really do enjoy sleeping on beds and couches rather then in their own bed. The kitten that I used to have hated sleeping away from people so the closes he could get the better.

I think the kitten is missing its mummy.

There's one thing I find rather odd about cats. Sometimes when the second litter is nursing, the kittens from the previous litter would also join in the fun. And the mother cat is fine with that.

I think it's more like they never really grew out out of kittenhood. I haven't seen this happening with dogs. As for chickens, the mother hen will shoo off the earlier brood even before she lays the next batch of eggs.

My cat Dolores will lie down anywhere, couch, laundry, kitchen counter, on top of my clothes that I just ironed because I wanted to wear them. Sometimes if I put my book down, I'll come back and she's lying on top of it. She's a weird cat.

I am sure she's just taking good care of your book.
