As in, the cat was the thief!

Our younger cat used to steal little toys, but I can't say she ever stole money from us!

That is so funny! I have never had a cat steal from me. I have seen some funny youtube videos of a cat who would go out at night and steal from his neighbors.

I wonder what's so attractive about the bank notes. I doubt if the cat is aware of the monetary value. Perhaps it's the smell of the bank notes. I have smelled some bank notes and they do have a fishy smell.

You know, they say most currency out there has cocaine on it (people rolling bills up as straws to snort it). I'm not sure how it affects cats, but if they get a buzz off of it too, this might be a theory to consider. :-D

Cocaine on bank notes? That's a new angle. I wonder if drug addicts might eventually resort to just smoking bank notes to get their high. As for the feline currency hoarder, it seems to be rather unusual behavior. I know some of my dogs like to hoard things especially food because dogs do have this instinct about burying things but I haven't heard of cats having any instinct about burying anything except their feces.

That's so cute! A hassle for the rescue, of course, but cute. I've never had a cat do that, but now Sibyl will be my first suspect if I ever think I have money missing, hah.

It's kind of awesome that the cat gradually collected $200 in small bills. It's like a living piggy bank. If my cat stole small bills from me and stashed away $200 in savings under my couch, I would be so happy that I would kiss her and then put that money away in my savings account. I have a hard time being disciplined enough to save money, so I could use a kleptomaniac cat like that.
