Strange cat names?

Merlin the cat? That's quite a reversal of roles. Cats are supposed to be assistants to magicians. I think they are called familiars. Or something similar.

 

I think familiars are more associated with witches and it was this that gave black cats in particular a bad reputation.

 

In an odd way, I wish that black cats really have magical powers. Then everyone would be looking to have one. I know I would.

 

I had a couple cats when I was little who given name (by my dad) was ''Solovino'', which basically translates to ''He came here on its own'', lol. Very funny! He wanted me to name Bob that way as well, but in the end I thought Bob was better. Because my Bob looks a lot like the jagex cat!
