You come home. You know that your cat is somewhere in the house, but where?

You look in all of the obvious places, and come up with nothing. Now you are wondering what is going on. Did your cat escape without you noticing?

Now you look under the bed, in the closet and even in the kitchen cabinets. No luck.

Finally, you find your cat somewhere way up high, like the top of your kitchen cabinets.

My Bengal is currently supervising me from the side of my keyboard which is on its side. It is on a table which makes it go almost up to the ceiling. It is wedged between things so that it will not fall.

Haha, so true. Mine likes to hide behind sheer curtains. In the right light, her eyes shine through the sheer-ness.

    Lol!

Been there, done that. I know to check all the high places now, but I've still found her in really bizarre places. I've "lost" her in the water heater closet....and the back top of one of the kids' closets where I still have no idea how she got up there.... And in the dryer (not on, of course).

My cat Dolores sometimes hides in lower cabinets, like under the bathroom sink or under the kitchen sink. I guess sometimes when I leave cabinets slightly ajar, she seizes the opportunity to sneak in. Before I figured this out, I used to panic and think she ran away. Now I know better.

Oh yeah! My cat scared us a couple times like that, too. I found her sleeping in a basket of potatoes under the cabinet! Then another time, she was able to get in, but when the door shut behind her, she wasn't able to get back out. We heard her crying and had to hunt her down.

I opened my kitchen cupboard, to find my cat nestled on a pile of plates. I DO NOT KNOW HOW HE GOT IN THERE.

We watched a cat one time that managed to climb up into the box springs in my bed. The only reason I found her was because I was looking under my bed and felt a warm spot. We literally had to take the mattress off and try and tip her out of the box springs. She was already terrified to begin with, you can imagine how fun this was trying to fish her out.

Was there a hole in the box springs, Tom, or did she create one herself? I bet it was comfy in there, but would've been terrifying being shaken out. Oops.

haha my cat likes to hide in the bathroom now. I think she likes the new rug. I always freak out and check her usual spots, but then started to realize after a while that she just sneaks her way into the bathroom and sleeps there for hours.

My cat loves the top of the Kitchen cabinets. I think its because its so warm up there. The weirdest place I ever found him was the dirty laundry basket all curled up and sleeping.

I don't mind when my cats hide up on top of cupboards. At least they are out of harm's way. What I really hate is when some of my all-blacks decide to take a nap on the black mat at the bottom of the stairs.
