We take our two cats to the vet for their routine annual physicals. This is when they get their shots, check-up, etc.

I just read an article about the importance of annual teeth cleanings. This is not a procedure we have had done. Now, I am thinking we need to add this to our list.

I was wondering, if others get their cat's teeth cleaned every year?

    What has been your experience?

Is your cat put under for anesthesia for this procedure?

How long does it usually take?

I would appreciate any input on your first-hand experiences.

    Thanks.

Hi there! I take my Bob for a teeth cleaning every single year :) It's not such a daunting task, but you have to know that over here and in most places any kind of dental procedure on cats must be done under general anesthesia. They might wake up with minor discomfort later, but mine doesn't even seem to mind too much :)
