Many years ago a cat we had, now unfortunately in that big cat heaven in the sky, came rushing in from the garden. Very agitated and wild looking, she was furiously licking her feet and frothing at the mouth.
As she jumped about the kitchen, stopping, licking and frothing my daughter went to approach her.

"No" I said "she might have rabies", finally I got a pet blanket and went over and wrapped it tightly round her. Once I was sure I wasn't going to get savaged I started inspecting her paws. Black, and smelling of, creasote. I had spent the afternoon re-creasoting the fence and she must have jumped on it while it was still wet. Licking her paws trying to remove it was causing the frothing.

I washed her paws with warm soapy water until she became less agitated then put her down and gave her a big bowl of water to drink. A call to the vet said all good, just to keep an eye on her and if there seemed to be any reaction to take her down in the morning.

As her, and everyone elses panic subsided the kids went back out to play, and the cat settled to clean herself.
The wife looked at me and said, "Rabies?"................"In the UK?", and continued to prepare dinner.

That's a great story. I don't have any funny stories like that. One of my past cats was given to me by a stripper who was moving out of the seedy hotel on Miami Beach that I was living in at the time. Apart from the stripper's cat, I don't have any stories.
